The Arad Municipal Library

The story

The municipal library of Arad was established about a month after the first garin arrived in the city, in 1962. Since then it has grown and moved among different buildings, until in 1984 it reached its present place, in the Arad community center. In 2012 it won the Outstanding Library Prize of the Ministry of Culture. The library stands in the same compound in which are also the community center and the Arad Museum.
