Woman in White

The story

“Woman in White” is a sculpture by Haim Tedgi, standing at the western end of the Sculpture Route at Hatzerim. Tedgi (1943–2008) was an Israeli sculptor and painter, and most of his works adorn the city of Ofakim — among them the artistic sculpture sign at the entrance to the city, of the year 2005. The sculpture is one of thirty-nine standing along the route and on the hills around it, a project that began in the year 2000 on the initiative of the artist and curator Marga Fishtein and her husband Israel, who invited Israeli artists to place in the field works that relate to the environment and to the space.
