Sun

The story

“Sun” is a sculpture by Yonina Lamdan, standing on the Sculpture Route at Hatzerim about fifty-six meters from the sculpture “Offering” by Shlomit Averbuch. It is one of the thirty-nine sculptures that have been placed along the route and on the hills around it since the year 2000, on the initiative of the artist and curator Marga Fishtein and her husband Israel, who invited Israeli artists to place in the field works that relate to the environment and to the space. The route goes round Kibbutz Hatzerim from the south, passes close to the jojoba fields, and along it are two parking areas of the Jewish National Fund.
